The more I learn about photography, the less I know.
The more I learn about how to technically take a photo, the less I like my 'style'. People always tell me "It's okay to break the rules in photography". I think the reason we learn "The Rules" in photography, is so that we know HOW to break them.
...Rules were meant to be broken?
The Blink-Click Rule
If you need to blink, click the shutter. Every time.
Know what you like
Photography is everywhere. Magazines, Newspapers, Advertisement's, wherever you go. Study it. Find out what you like and don't like. Critique every photo you come across. Copy what you like, and disregard what you don't.
Photo's start behind your eyes.
Don't go looking for a photo. You can't expect to walk down the street and have a photo jump out at you. Picture in your head what you want before you go shooting. Know what photos you want to take, then find them.

"we can forgive a man for making a useful thing as long as he does not admire it. the only excuse for making a useless thing is that one admires it intensely. all art is quite useless."
